HISTORY OF THE COMPANY |
| The company was established by pilsner native Antonin Kunzin 1883, when he was just twenty-four, trained locksmith. He had chosen Hranice for trade, where was already important railway junction and where was not any industry at all.
Company , after its establishment, was engaged in repairing and later also in small agriculture machines production. But soon after it the company specialized in a pump production.
They started to produce wind engines to drive pumps. The wind engines became Mr. Kunz famous very soon. These engines gradually displace other foreign companies products and completely defeated inland market in Austria-Hungary and were exported to the Balkan, Russia and to the Middle East. With a wind engine was as a rule supplied a pump and the whole further water distribution equipment. The company was “the biggest and the Czech factory for output of water in a monarchy.”

Production programme besides the wind engines and pumps of common use, mainly hand pump, also home installation and central heating. In nineties of 19 century the company intensive started to project and install water works, the company pursued a captation of a sources, water well building, water reservoirs, water pumping stations and piping for municipal as well as industrial water mains. Besides the water mains installations in farms and industrial factories, till the year 1912 the company built water mains for 1056 municipalities, 146 of this number were cities. By Kunz factory rise, was changed social character of the town. The rows of qualified workers, servicemen, engineers and clerks started to increase.
