The production programme of SIGMA PUMPY HRANICE, Ltd. and its daughter company Sigma 1868 Ltd. is very wide.
The company manufactures: house & garden pumps, house automatic water supply units, waterworks pumping/ booster stations, self-priming pumps and their packages, pumps for inflammable liquids, submersible pumps, sewage pumps, horizontal and vertical radial impeller centrifugal multistage pumps, volute casing pumps, pump turbines, hot water circulation pumps, hot water and condensate pumps, water-ring vacuum pumps and compressors, automatic evacuation stations, external gear pumps and triple-screw pumps for self-lubricating viscous liquids, progressive cavity pumps ,positive displacement rotary lobe pumps for viscous liquids handling, reciprocating plunger and piston pumps and their packages, high-pressure pumps for chemical and petrochemical industry, high-pressure hydraulic sets for mining industry, pumps for oil pumping and exploitation, irrigation pumping units, homogenizers, hydro-cleaners, diaphragm pumps, pressure governors and flow controllers.

Our company covers the needs of the domestic mar­ket in the above mentioned commodities and be­sides other countries, our company exports pumps to other European countries, former Soviet Union countries, Asia, the Middle East and the Near East. We provide servicing and commissioning of manu­factured pumps at the customer’s site and overhauls of older pumps. By implementing new production technologies and the up to date software of pump designing we keep up with the new trends in pump manufacturing. We have a team of highly qualified workers and tech­nicians who greatly influence the technical level and quality of our products and spread the good will of SIGMA branch. The company has established a quality system in accordance with the standard EN ISO 9001 : 2008 certified by TÜV NORD Certification Company. Following active cooperation with our suppliers, customers and TÜV NORD Certifica­tion Company, we are improving and developing the established quality system.

HISTORY
The tradition of pump manufacturing in Hranice na Moravě dates back to 1883. The company was famous for the production of wind engines used for driving pumps and the supply of watering places for animals and pumps for agricultural industry.

Antonín Kunz, the founder of pump manufacture in Hranice na Moravě was an enterprising man who led his company PRVNÍ MORAVSKÁ TOVÁRNA NA VODOVODY A PUMPY (The First Moravian Factory for Water Mains and Pumps) among the top domestic manufacturers in a short period of time.

A very significant focus of the company was on the construction of water mains in towns and cities in the whole former Austro-Hungary. The company became the imperial and royal supplier. In 1912, after the death of the founder Antonín Kunz, the ownership structure of the company changed and it became a joint-stock company.

The post-war period brought a phase of strong development of the company, which became a part of a group joining the manufacturers of pumps and fittings-SIGMA concern. The pumps from Hranice thus became a part of production lines in many industries in our country as well as abroad
